Brooklyn Poets – Whitman Bicentennial Poetry Contest

Brooklyn Poets has released their prompt for this year’s poetry contest: “What is it then between us?” after Whitman’s “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry.” First prize will win $250; second prize $100; third prize $50. Women, writers of color, LGBTQ+ writers, indigenous writers, writers with disabilities and writers from other underserved communities are especially encouraged to apply. Submit here.
